EYELID SURGERY, WOMEN'S BLEPHAROPLASTY

The patient is a 42 year old woman who notes that her upper eyelids looked different from each other. She had upper eyelid surgery only. At her procedure, more skin was removed from her right upper eyelid to achieve symmetry. She was very happy with the changes from her surgery.

Sometimes, the slightest asymmetry (difference in the sides) can be very noticeable about the lids and especially when there are different amounts of skin and the skin hangs at a different level. By removing all the excess skin on both sides, symmetry is created and the problem is solved. The asymmetry no longer calls attention to itself and one can then see the beauty of the eye itself and of the rest of the face.
