Patients can schedule a consultation reasonably quickly as Dr. Newman lives close to his office and sets time aside to meet with potential patients. If you wish to fill out your patient registration at home to save time, please call us and we will fax the forms to you. Please be on time for your consultation as the Doctor makes every effort to respect patient’s schedules and also wants to spend adequate, quality time with each patient.
The Center uses only experienced Board Certified . anesthesiologists who have full and current privileges at Rancho Springs Medical Center—a regional hospital located one block away from Dr. Newman’s Center. You will receive a detailed call the night before your surgery, however a meeting with a staff anesthesiologist can also be arranged prior to the day of your procedure.
Dr. Newman keeps longstanding professional relationships with his clients even years after surgery. It not only helps us here at the Center improve our care, but it also helps in maintaining your good result. We know you have worked hard to improve yourself and this is the first step towards long-lasting results! Our staff offers a warm connection with patients from the very first consultation in order to encourage office visits later on.
This typically varies with each patient and depends on where they live and what procedure they had done. We encourage patients to continue to see us after surgery and especially recommend making an appointment if or when they have a concern. Patients are also encouraged to see us far into the future as we can assist in keeping long term results. We enjoy getting feedback about patient care at our Surgery Center and find that often, the best feedback comes from patients who return 1-3 years after their experience.
Here at the Surgery Center, we believe that warm and supportive care can be best rendered at home, especially with the excellent pre-operative instruction of our nursing staff. The patient’s home is also a well-known environment which makes it easy to recover from surgery, so every effort is made to tailor the recovery to the patient so they can return home quickly after surgery. Other care facilities may not have staff that has specific knowledge of the patient’s procedure and patients can request a nurse to stay with them after surgery. Other patients who feel that home care may present special problems are encouraged to stay at a relative or friend’s home or hotel while they recover.
Generally, patients are seen the next day after surgery with the exception of patients who have a tummy tuck, who are seen on the third day after surgery. Our trained staff and physicians will happily provide active input during all of your post-operative visits, ensuring you have all the information you need in your recovery.

Once your procedure date is scheduled we will set up a date for you to return for a pre-operative visit. The surgery plan will be reviewed and any other changes will be discussed. Pre-operative photographs will be taken and risks and benefits specific to your procedure will be discussed thoroughly. Prescriptions for any labs, studies and medications will be given to you at this time. Please take the time to have these prescriptions filled prior to your surgery so you will have them at home after your procedure and can take them as needed.
Our patients reside mostly in the Inland Empire, however we have a significant number of patients who live on the coast. Many of our patients have even moved to far away places over the years and they along with friends and relatives come here for secondary procedures. They begin this process by contacting our scheduling coordinator and are encouraged to submit photographs via e-mail. A preoperative telephone consultation can be arranged with the Dr. Newman as well as with the nursing staff. Patients can schedule their flight so that they can see the Doctor a day or two prior to their care. Patients will be required to stay in the area for varying times depending on the type of procedure. Please visit our Fly-in Patients page for more information.
Most of our patients are referred to us by other patients who have had cosmetic surgery at our Center and are pleased with their results. If you don’t know anyone who has had surgery with us please inform our receptionist or our scheduling coordinator and our staff will happily assist in connecting you with other patients who have had the same procedures.
