RHINOPLASTY

The patient is a 21 year old who felt that he nose looked good in general but was slightly too large for her face. She noted the width of her nose over the bridge but didn’t think her bump was prominent and she thought her nasal tip was good. She thought her nose seemed to get wider on the front view as one looked from the top of the nose to the bottom and that it seemed to her that the nostrils seemed to also be wide and flare on the outsides.

Rhinoplasty Surgery

At surgery, which was performed under general aenesthesia by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, the tip was set back to begin the process of making the entire nose slightly smaller. Once that was accomplished, the dorsal hump (bump) was removed so that it matched the tip that was made to project further than the dorsal line. This creates a beautiful angle on side view where the dorsal line comes up into the tip. Then, the upper part of the nose was narrowed to match the tip, thus creating a smaller nose where all of its parts match.

When looking at the Rhinoplasty before and after photos, one sees not only a smaller nose that matches the dimensions of the face but also that the tip and nose are more refined. In the preop photograph one sees that the skin was thick and the width and thickness of the nose seemed to harmonize with each other. Now that the nose is more refined, the entire face appears more refined.
